Snake study provides impetus for legislative reform

Alex was recently part of a group of international researchers with an interest in reptile welfare that examined the evidence base around enclosure lengths for snakes, since many enclosures do not enable snakes the ability to stretch fully. This was recently published in the journal Animals and has received some attention in the UK where calls for the need to reform regulation on reptile welfare have been growing.
