Public Perceptions of Animal Welfare Laws

Rochelle recently published one of her final PhD studies which involved surveying a representative sample of the Australian public on their thoughts around the substance and enforcement of animal welfare laws. We got some interesting findings- including that (at least in this area of law) the public appear willing to trust the legal system to determine the appropriate penalties for animal welfare offences.
